Tale #0: WHO AM I?

Hello!

My name is Iliana Olivas, and I am currently enrolled at Glendale Community College. I am majoring in English Literature with the idea of becoming an editor at a major publishing company. I took a year off of school last year to evaluate and decide what it is I want to accomplish in life. I want to eventually travel the world, but I first want to live in a van to travel through the united states. I love to listen to music and branch out to different artists. I have developed a love for foreign films recently and I like to watch movies and shows so, that I am able to recommend them to others. I have two dogs named Cheech and Chong. They are nine months old and are constantly keeping my family and I on our toes. I have two sisters who are my inspiration to do better. I enjoy hanging out with my friends’ by going to have breakfast and having game nights. My friend Alexa was teaching my friends and I how to play Dungeons and Dragons, which I still DO NOT understand by the way.

My hobbies include going on hikes with my dogs and reading mystery books. My biggest pet peeve is that I have way TOOOO many and that they are constantly changing. One of my college goals is to graduate from GCC with the minimum of a 3.0 Gpa. A life goal I have is to visit to Annecy, France because I had to write a scary story for English and I wrote about this place since then, this city has been engraved in my mind. A thing that makes me unique is that I have to paint my nails every two weeks and if they chip I need to take all the polish off. I also am able to move my ears and I have the ability to talk to new people without trying.

  1. Traveling the country in a van sounds like an amazing adventure. What a fun goal to have. My wife and I have a similar dream. When we retire, we want to buy an RV and travel to all the national parks in the U.S. Remarkably, I can also move my ears. Such a rare talent, I haven't met many people who can do it. We'd love to read to your short story, if you feel comfortable sharing it. No pressure.

  2. Nice nicknames for the dogs. Traveling is a great sense of clarity and to see the world is quite spectacular. I wish you and your family good luck and prosper on your career path in the publishing company.

  3. Your dogs are so cute! I have 3 dogs and they are all so cute and I love them so much but if I went on a hike with them they would just sit down and roll in the dirt. They are vary lazy.
